We Have recently been awarded a top 5 finish in the chip shop of the year and we are the only Seafish  quality award holder in the whole of Angus.

We have worked towards improving all aspects of the business and have been rewarded for our efforts as the business is now busier and the quality of food and service has improved vastly.

We have seen more customers come through our doors locally and especially from further a field who are now regular visitors to us. As most people are aware the chain of “Bervie chippers” were sold individually and we have NO ties with any others.

We are totally independent and have been working hard to achieve high standards in our business.

We changed our name because we want to disassociate ourselves from the others by changing the name to “The Bellrock” as it was originally known. In April this 2006 we joined the fish frying elite from across the UK by scooping the prestigious “Seafish Fish Friers Quality Award”. To qualify, each shop has to go through a thorough inspection by a Seafish approved inspector who assesses the shops image, design and condition, staff training, equipment, frying and sales skill, and most importantly, the quality of the cooked product.
